During the first day of the class in the 3D Printing Lab at Romeoville Campus, you will render a file, transfer it over to a 3D printer and let it print your cookie cutters. Use those personalized cutters the following week at City Center Campus to cut and bake your cookies. You'll also learn some basic techniques needed to flood and decorate your cookies. We will learn about the origins of all of those famous monsters around the world from both myth and legend. Once you've gained a general knowledge, you can shape your own creatures of legend. Students will investigate the challenges of space travel and witness real space launches, behind-the-scenes NASA footage and discover the future of humanity’s journey back to the moon. After learning about rocket ships in the dome, students will spend one hour building their very own bottle rockets. This opportunity allows them to express individual creativity and challenges them to build a stable, aerodynamic vessel. Kits will be sent home with detailed instructions on how to launch. If time and weather allows, we will launch one rocket outdoors.
