Join the MakerLab and create your next innovative project or invention using our state-of-the-art equipment. Don't know how to use the equipment? Our staff will gladly provide training to help you accomplish your goals. The MakerLab, which is located at JJC's Main Campus, is open to community members! Hours of operation are Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Appointments are required and can be made by emailing [email protected]. 3D Printing/ Virtual Reality Lab In addition to the MakerLab, we have partnered with JJC's Romeoville Campus to open a new 3D Printing/Virtual Reality Lab. This space is also open to community members. Reservations to utilize the 3D printers are available Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30 to 9 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Schedule your visit by emailing [email protected]. Days and times for utilizing the virtual reality equipment vary. Wednesday, March 20 5-7p.m. Romeoville Memberships Ready to start creating? The first step is to purchase a MakerLab membership. Members have access to both locations during open hours, but reservations are required. Memberships are available for ages 10 and up, but children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Private Training Whether you are seeking training for your employees or a special outing for your organization, we are able to accomodate your requests for customized training. Classes 3D Printing Build a 3D Printer (LLC 5895) In this hands-on class, participants will assemble a basic 3D printer with full guidance from an experienced instructor. Topics will cover how to maintain and operate the machine as well as the basics of 3D printing. Each student will take home their assembled 3D printer and a full roll of filament. No prior experience is required. There will be a mandatory, free information session on Wednesday, March 20 at 7 p.m. to allow students to meet with the instructor, review course objectives and ask specific questions before enrolling.
