Embark on a nature hike and explore different habitats with hands on activities and games. This is your chance to get a new look at the JJC campus through an environmental science lens. This camp will take place completely outside. Participants are recommended to wear closed toe shoes and long pants. TY1 9a.m.-Noon W Main July 17 Ages 7-12 $59 Training & Career Exploration Career Exploration Day (LLC 1284) This immersive and interactive event is designed for 13-17 year olds to explore a wide array of career options in various fields. Through engaging workshops, a lunch & learn, campus tours and insightful discussions, participants will gain valuable insights into professions such as architecture, welding, automotive, veterinary technology, construction management, nursing, electrical, culinary arts and more! Lunch will be provided. TY1 10a.m.-2p.m. T Main July 11 Ages 13-17 $59 Babysitting Class (LLC 926) Learn how to keep yourself and the children you are caring for safe! This course covers CPR and choking relief for adults, children and infants, as well as AED use. Students will also learn first aid including asthma training, EpiPen® use and other common emergencies. The babysitting education also covers diapering, swaddling, bottle feeding, holding and sleep positions, etc. All certifications are issued from the American Heart Association and are good for two years.
